Together with Mark Weible
Together
Wednesday, December 13, 2023 - 24 minutes
Mark Weible and Jack Eason discuss the purpose and methods of expanding the church. Not just into the mission field by taking the gospel to the unreached, as most would think. But more importantly to expand the existing church by branching out to plant new churches in the the many communities surrounding thriving churches.
Mark Weible works with the Greater Orlando Baptist Association as the Church Planting Director. He joined the GOBA team in 2002. He previously served as an associate director of missions, pastor, radio station operations manager, youth pastor, and children’s home house parent, all in Texas.
Church Planting, Church Revitalization, and Leadership Development are the three parts of a successful strategy by the Greater Orlando Baptist Association. Church Planting brings new churches to communities to help reach new neighbors all over the world. Church Revitalization is intended to strengthen existing churches and help declining churches to become healthy once again. Leadership Development is important to assist churches with the tools necessary to see leadership multiplication on every level of their organization.

Statistics show that, despite our connected world--and partly because of it--we are lonelier than ever. Social media tricks us into thinking that we are engaged in genuine friendships, except we never quite get beyond that feeling of being outside someone else's life and looking in every so often at what they choose to show the world. Instead of intimacy we get little more than what amounts to digital small talk. But there is a solution.
With plenty of good humor and practical advice, Jack Eason invites you to discover the benefits of doing life together with other brothers and sisters in Christ. Grounding his message in Scripture, Eason helps you
- learn the obstacles to real community
- reimagine what real friendship looks like
- discover a place of true belonging
- and more
If you're tired of feeling lonely, this encouraging and community-building book is just what you need.
