The Downstate Delaware Genealogical Society invites you to join us for a free program about the MD State Archives and their holdings.

The Maryland State Archives & Their Genealogy Related Holdings Presentation will give you a
first hand overview of online resources and databases from the Maryland State Archives that
creatively convey the needs of patrons interested in Maryland history. This presentation will
overview the Maryland State Archives website's new homepage, Guides to research, and
databases available outside of the Maryland State Archives Search Room. One of the Maryland
State Archives newest databases, Mayis; Indigenous Records, covers land records from the years
1632 to 1800 that describe the interaction between settlers and the indigenous tribes that reside in
colonial Maryland. The presenter Danielle Smith is a Reference Archivist at the Maryland State
