Iron Hill Museum & Science Center has its annual Powwow!
This year is a memorial powwow, honoring Linda Griffith Zieber, “Mother of Birds”.
We are proud to announce the 2024 Iron Hill Powwow will be held on September 28, 2024. Celebrate this family friendly event with us! Gates open to the public at 10am, and festivities go on until 5pm. Dancing will start at NOON. Enjoy a day to celebrate Native American People. Listen to Native American music and stories. Dance to the beat of the drum when invited to join. Learn about different native traditions that are from all over the continent. Create a corn husk doll to take home with you. Watch native craftspeople and buy a souvenir. Spend some time honing your skills at archery.
There is an admission of: $5 for adults. $4 for students and children. Delaware Academy of Science (DAS) members, with card, are $2. Children under 4 years of age are free. Scouts in uniform are free.
