But Peter followed Him at a distance to the high priest's courtyard. And he went in and sat with the servants to see the end. (Matthew 26:58)

There are times during our Spiritual journeys when we feel closer to the Lord than others. Kind of like a friend or family member that has distanced themselves from another friend or family member, one day leads to a week – a month goes to a year. Before you know it, the friend or family member becomes an acquaintance. Likewise, life can sometimes fill our schedules to the point that we find ourselves distanced from the Lord. We are no longer starting our day reading the Bible and Prayer. We are too busy doing other things, and then other problems develop. And we find ourselves following Christ at a distance. That said, satan is notoriously known for distancing us from the Lord with the business of life, and he knows that our distance from the Lord is at the heart of every fall.

Friends, our Spiritual journeys will be challenged when life happens, but by beginning discipline every day to spend time with the Lord in His Word and Prayer, we will not feel distanced from Him. Would you Pray with me:

Dear Heavenly Father, I seek You first today. I look to You instead of the world as my source of wisdom and strength. Help me keep my mind and heart on You. Let this moment be where my focus is to look square in Your loving eyes today. Lord, may You be the center of my day and my life. May You be the light that shines through me for others to see. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Encouraging Words from Billy Graham: The Bible is not an option; it is a necessity. You (we) cannot grow spiritually strong without it.

God Bless you, Friends, and have a Blessed Day <><
