Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven —for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” And he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?” And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” (Luke 7:47-50)

What a fantastic story this is on forgiveness. Jesus said that if you have been forgiven much, you will love much; if you have been forgiven little, you will love little. There isn’t a person walking on this earth that doesn’t need the forgiveness of God. Romans 3:23 tells us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” So if you are reading this and think there is no sin in your life, you are deceiving yourself. The biggest sin of all is when you cannot acknowledge that Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary for your sin.

I know that had it not been for Christ, I would not be sitting here writing this Devotional Thought, or for that matter, serving the Lord in any capacity whatsoever! Jesus took my ragged life; He restored it; He renewed it and made me a brand-new person. He forgave me all my sins (yesterday’s, today’s, and tomorrow’s). I walk daily wrapped in God’s forgiveness. We cannot be effective ambassadors for Jesus Christ if we do not know that our sins are forgiven. If we do not have the assurance of our salvation, how will we help others to salvation and forgiveness?

Romans 8:1-2 tells us, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.” These Scripture verses assure us that if we have confessed our sins and repented, we are forgiven; we can walk tall in our forgiveness. You can have the confidence to be an ambassador of Jesus because your sins are forgiven.

Friends, are you confident to be an ambassador of Jesus because your sins are forgiven? If so, would you thank Him for His forgiveness? Would you pray with me?

Dear Heavenly Father, I humbly thank You for the grace and mercy You have poured out on my life. I would be nothing without You. You have forgiven me so much; I will never stop praising You and thanking You for the blessing of forgiveness. In Your Precious Name. Amen.

Encouraging Words from Charles Stanley: Unforgiveness is emotional bondage that consumes minds with memories of offenses, distorts emotions with revenge, and fills hearts with churning unrest.

God Bless you, Friends, and may you have a Blessed Day <><
