Sometimes the sun is shining. The birds are singing. The bills are paid up. Everybody's up on the right side of the bed that morning. We don't get stuck in traffic and we're not late to work. We're all getting along - like one big happy family.

And then there are days when nothing goes right. We find ourselves in a difficult, even dire, situation. It seems as if everything is happening in slow motion and we can't even begin to think of what we should be doing to move forward.

Mountaintop days and valley days are definitely coming our way; but, many days we find ourselves living right in the middle. The ONE common denominator that makes EVERY day a gift is that God is IN each one. Nahum 1:7 (NLT) reveals, "The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him." The goodness of God surrounds us. His presence leans in close to us as we put our trust in Him and He is our secure hiding place when we find ourselves in one of those 'valley' days.
